Department of Political Science and Public Administration

INFORMATION FOR INCOMING PHD STUDENTS

PhD students who wish to register at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration are requested to send along with their application the following:

  1. A letter from their home institution that certifies their status as PhD students and states the topic of their research project and the stage of their doctoral degree.
  2. A statement of purpose which identifies the reasons they wish to register at the Department of Political science and Public Administration.
  3. A letter of endorsement by a Department of Political Science and Public Administration faculty member, who will act as a mentor during the period of study at the Department.

Students who are still at a preliminary stage of their doctoral degree and have not yet finalised their research proposal are expected to register for at least two undergraduate or post-graduate courses offered by the Department. They are not required to provide a letter of endorsement.
