YOUTH ISTANBUL PROJECT 2025

Youth Istanbul Project 2025

The Youth Istanbul Project Team informs about Youth Istanbul Project (YIP) which will be held on between the dates 24th of February- 2nd of March. The project will be organized for the eighth time in Istanbul, Türkiye, by the students of Marmara University Faculty of Law who are also members of the Marmara Law Association (MLA).

The theme of the project is giving the participants a chance to learn more about academic and business life in İstanbul while being a part of the international community. This year, Youth Istanbul Project will focus on the theme of “Law and Art,” exploring the multifaceted relationship between legal systems and creative expression. It will also address the role of registration and legal enforcement in safeguarding the rights of artists and creators. Furthermore, the theme will highlight the influence of art on legal systems, showcasing how creative expression can challenge, reshape, and inspire legal norms. The project will delve into key areas such as intellectual property rights, trademarks, patents, and copyright, examining how laws protect and regulate artistic works and innovations. By fostering discussions and workshops, the project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how law and art intersect to shape cultural, social, and economic landscapes. Participants will not spend time only listening to guest lecturers but also taking an active role in workshops. YIP is available for students who study at the bachelor of art (law, political science, etc.) and master's students in your university. All sessions will be held in the English language during the week. At the same time, the YIP’25 team will arrange cultural trips around Istanbul and the participants will be able to explore Istanbul’s historical and mystic character.

During the week; participants will get to make international friends while attending social events and they will get to observe the basis of Turkish culture while staying with their hosts. With this academically important organization, the participants will be able to explore a new country as they improve their social skills and knowledge about new cultures.

Accommodation, some of the dinners, and costs for the seminars during the week will be covered by YIP. Other expenses, such as flight tickets to Istanbul and transportation in the city of Istanbul, when needed, are not covered. The hosts who are the students of Marmara University will be ready to offer accommodation for the participants from 24th of February to 2nd of March.
