This is an introductory course in Law. It starts with a review of the historical evolution of law and o legal philosophy, emphasizing on major evolutionary steps of western legal systems and legal theories. It then turns to the systematization of law, legal reasoning and methodology, before it analyzes basic notions of public and private law. The course examines the role and function of the legal system in a society by considering how laws are created, interpreted and applied, as well as the role of justice.
