Compulsory course in the Section of International and European Studies

The overall objective of this course is a critical analysis and comprehension of the development and evolution of the institutionalization of international relations. It examines the structure, function and legal identity of international organs and organizations, with special emphasis on decision-making processes. It focuses on the interaction between international law and politics as illustrated through the example of the UN system and several regional organizations. Furthermore, this course examines whether or not international organs and organizations contribute to the resolution of current international problems and challenges.
