PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION II

The subject purports to introduce students to the study of concrete and acute problems of Greek public administration as well as to the understanding of causes that produce them and the ways to tackle them. Aspects of crisis of the administrative system include among other things the following: coordination of government and cohesion of public policy, allocation of competences among central, regional and local authorities of the State and the principle of subsidiarity, regulatory reform, control of maladministration and the role of Independent Authorities, new public management and human resources policy.

Undergraduate students are assessed by means of written examination and essay.
